At Heavenly Hands Preschool and Childcare, we believe that children are a gift from God. We will apply basic biblical principles to meet the spiritual, academic, social, physical and emotional needs of children between the ages of six weeks to five years. Our team will develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of each child, promoting self-confidence and individuality, and help lay the building blocks they will need to support their future learning.

 

Children learn through play, by doing and experiencing things. At Heavenly Hands, our Bible based curriculum will allow them to explore the world around them. Infants and toddlers will be introduced to colors and shapes, Bible stories and science experiments. They will have creative art projects at least weekly, and music time and being read to will happen on a daily basis.

 

2 year olds will be introduced to letters, numbers, colors and shapes. We will offer a fun, energetic and engaging classroom time for them, focusing on learning to play with toys properly, beginning to share, and following directions.

 

In the 3 year old program, the main goals are to learn how to get along with each other, learn classroom rules, and learn how to share and wait their turn. Letters, numbers, colors and shapes will be interwoven with their thematic curriculum by using the A Beka preschool curriculum. They will also experience creative art projects, science experiments, pretend play, and motor and language development opportunities.

 

4 year olds will work a little harder. They will use the A Beka 4 year old kindergarten curriculum that will help reinforce learning the alphabet phonetically, and common letter combinations. They will also work on sight reading simple words, number recognition up to 100, and some simple addition and subtraction problems. Their pre-writing skills will be strengthened. Our goal is to prepare them to be able to successfully make the transition to a kindergarten classroom.

 

All of our children will receive Bible teaching as well. A Bible story or biblical lesson will be offered each day, with the same lesson lasting all week. Each day we will build on the lesson in creative ways.

 

Heavenly Hands Preschool and Childcare is open from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Our rates for all day care are as follows:

 

                  Infant to 1 year old            $150/week

                  1 year to 2 years old          $130/week

                  2 years to 3 years old         $120/week

                  3 years to 5 years old         $110/week

 

We also offer a preschool only option for 3 and 4 year olds, meeting from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm (noon), for those children who do not need all day care. The 3 year olds meet on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, with a cost of $160/month. The 4 year olds meet Monday through Friday, with a cost of $200/month.

 

We also offer after school childcare to ECA students, and students from Elizabethtown City Schools. The cost for this program, Kid Zone,  is $40/week. Before school childcare is offered for a cost of $15/week. If your child needs both before and afterschool childcare, you can receive both for a cost of $50/week.
