Progress reports went home on Thursday. Please sign and return them on Tuesday. After you return the signed report, I will send you a copy.
After letter T and L we will blend the letters b and n with the short vowel sounds. The students are doing well with their spelling words both orally and written. The next group of spelling words will have the b and n blend sounds.
Our Bible story wil be about Mephibosheth, a story about kindness. We will be learning about ways we can show kindness. Watch for the Bible memory verse coming home on Monday. The verse will begin with the letter E... "Even a child is known by his doings." I have another Bible story challenge for you. Send in the answer to the following question and your child will receive a treat. "What is your servant that you should notice a dead dog like me?" Last week we had two students bring in an answer and one was right... Congratulations Grace!
In math, we are continuing number concepts and expanding our counting to 30. We will be counting objects, identifying the numbers and writng the numbers 1-7. We have been learning about the ones family and the teen family.
We will continue to learn about community helpers in Social Studies with the focus on nurses and dentists.
Please check folders daily and remove the graded daily work. Parent information will be on the left side of the folder. Homework goes home on Monday and Thursday and all homework is due on Friday. Please follow the directions on the packet. Keeping up with the folder daily ensures that you will not miss important information and this will help you stay up to date with what your child is doing and where they need help.
When you need to communicate with me, you can send a note in the folder or e-mail teaston@elizabethtownchristian.com. I do not get to check my email until school is over each day. If you have something urgent to communicate with me please send a note in their folder.
See you at our class meeting on Thursday!!
"Is there anyone still left of the house of Saul to whom I can show kindness to for Jonathan's sake."
Ms. Tracey
